What To Expect When Picking Up Auction Items

Once you have won a lot, collection is the last step — here is exactly how it works at Pennyworth.

You have placed the winning bid, the auction has closed, and the lot is yours. What happens next is simple, but a little planning makes pickup quick and painless. This guide walks through where to come, when, and what to bring — so you can collect your items and be on your way.

Where pickup happens

All Pennyworth lots are collected in person at our Buda warehouse. There is no shipping — this is a local pickup operation, which is part of what keeps bids accessible. Our address is:

  • 3225 FM 2001, Suites 603 and 604
  • Satterwhite South
  • Buda, TX 78610-3784

When you arrive, have your winning invoice or bidder details ready so we can match you to your lots quickly. If you are unsure where to park or which suite to enter, call or text us at (737) 500-2225 and we will point you in the right direction.

Pickup hours

Collection is available during posted hours only. Please plan your visit within these windows:

  • Monday–Friday: 11AM–6PM
  • Saturday: 2PM–6PM
  • Sunday: Closed

We are closed on Sundays, so Sunday does not count toward any pickup deadline. If your schedule is tight, a quick message ahead of time lets us have your items staged and waiting.

The pickup window

Each auction has a defined collection period measured in business days after the auction closes:

  • Standard: 3 business days to collect your items.
  • Pennyworth Plus: up to 7 business days, giving you a more relaxed window.

Sundays are excluded from the count, and the clock runs on business days, so a weekend close still leaves you full working days to arrange collection. If you regularly bid and want the longer window as standard, the extended period is one of the conveniences of Pennyworth Plus.

Bringing help and the right vehicle

Many lots are easy to carry out by hand, but some are furniture, appliances, pallets, or boxed quantities that need more room and more muscle. Before you arrive, look back at the lot description and photos and ask yourself two things: will it fit in my vehicle, and can I lift it?

  • For large or heavy items, bring a second person to help load.
  • Bring a vehicle suited to the item — a truck, van, or SUV for bulky lots rather than a compact car.
  • Pack straps, blankets, or a dolly if you have them, especially for anything fragile or awkward.

Our team will help bring items to your vehicle where we reasonably can, but securing and transporting a load safely is the buyer's responsibility. A little preparation saves a return trip.

Checking your items at pickup

Pickup is the right moment to verify what you are collecting. Items at Pennyworth come from liquidation, estates, consignments, overstock, and returns, and lot descriptions note condition as accurately as we can. When you collect, please confirm you have the correct lots and that they match the description before you load up. If something does not look right, raise it with the team on the spot so we can sort it out together while you are still here.

If you miss your window

Pickup deadlines exist so the warehouse stays clear for the next auction's inventory. If you cannot make it within your window, reach out before it expires — we would always rather work something out than have you lose your items. If a lot is left uncollected past the window, it may be relisted in a future auction, and collection can no longer be guaranteed. The simplest safeguard is to put your pickup on the calendar the moment the auction closes.

Quick checklist before you drive over

  1. Confirm the auction has closed and you have your winning invoice.
  2. Check you are inside your 3- or 7-business-day window.
  3. Pick a time within posted hours (closed Sundays).
  4. Match your vehicle and helpers to the size of the lot.
  5. If anything is unclear, call or text (737) 500-2225 first.

That is the whole of it. Bid with confidence, collect within your window, and your goods come home with you the same week. If you have a question we have not answered here, the contact page will reach us directly.

Win the lot, and the rest is mine to arrange — your items will be set aside, recorded in the ledger, and waiting when you arrive.— Archer, Keeper of the Ledger
